What’s the Why that pulls the How and the What of Compass Consulting Team?

When we started Compass Consulting Team we wanted to offer individuals and organizations an alternative to the traditional training and coaching company.

We wanted to start a company that would Inspire, Educate, and Prompt individuals and organizations to unleash their creative talent and harness their sense of purpose, but not through the same old tired workshops, and instructor lead courses.

We knew that an organizations sustainability and growth rested on the loyalty of its’ customers, and the quality of its’ products/services.  We also knew that a company’s ability to attract new customers was paramount to this growth.

The fact remained that the world was full of me-too, boring/safe products, competing for that one customer and their almighty dollars.  There would always be a faster, cheaper, and probably a product with more bells and whistles than yours….So how do you compete?

We decided to offer a better way, a way that involved Re-thinking, Re-inventing, Re-engaging, Re-working, and Re-markabalizing what you did.  We decided to create a company whose sole purpose is to Inspire change, Promote growth from the inside/out, and Offer a Fresh Perspective on how to make yourself Indispensable.

Our WHY , our purpose, our belief is that we can help inspire, coach, and engage people and organizations to discover their Authentic Selves, Create Cultures based on Leadership and Trust, Remarkabalize their products/services through applying “soft” Innovations, and discover their unique Gifts that make them indispensable.   We can’t hope it, or wish it, or want it.  We have to Will it to change it!  It’s always been the Act of the Will that creates Change.

Al Andersen, CEIO

Al is an extremely successful Business Development and Sales Executive.  Having worked for companies such as IBM, Amdahl, EMC, Oracle and Legent.  He brings a wealth of practical, hands-on knowledge to every engagement and event he leads.  His High Tech and Real Estate Business experiences combined with his outgoing personality and quick wit sets him apart and creates a relaxed, easy going environment in which to learn.

Al is a co-host, along with his wife, Jane, on the popular Web Based Radio Show, “PURPLE COWch with Jane and Al”. He graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Marketing and continues to be an active member at the W.P. Carey School of Business, Alumni Association, and the AZ Tech Council.

Jane Andersen, CMDO

Jane is an accomplished writer, speaker, Corporate Recruiter, and Human Resource Executive with 25+ years in the Learning and Development Industry. She is an International Leadership Development Facilitator and has consulted with hundreds of the Fortune 1000 companies.

Jane has designed and delivered numerous programs on Interviewing Skills, Communicating Effectively, Presenting Yourself to be Remembered and Understood, Building and Maintaining a High Performance Teams and Strategic Partnering. Her encouraging, relaxed “one-on-one” coaching and consulting style combined with her engaging, learner driven workshops makes her a unique and skilled talent.

She graduated with honors from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Business. She lived in Houston, TX for 15 years, before moving back to Phoenix. She has numerous adult learning certifications and continues to be an active member of NCDA, SHRM, and ASTD.
